Food has always been a big part of my life, and dessert was definitely included. If I had a food craving, it was often a strong one and no matter how much food I ate, there was always room for dessert. When I was younger, I didn’t realize how baking was going to bring me so much happiness but I’ve always enjoyed making things and sharing them with others. Looking back, it honestly makes so much sense.
My baking really picked up at my Cloverdale apartment. For my first big bake, I hosted a brunch at “Cloverdale Cafe” as an excuse to bring my friends together. That baby blue heart cake was my first attempt at vintage piping and I loved it. The rest is history.
Soft Butter Bakes wouldn’t be what it is without the people who believed in it early on, especially my partner. He’s encouraged me every step of the way and is my most loyal taste tester. With his creative eye and artistic abilities, Soft Butter Bakes was able to come to life.
